Dr. Joseph Choukroun

Dr. Joseph Choukroun graduated in medicine in 1979 from the University of Montpellier, France, and specialized in anesthesiology in 1981 at the same university. In 1986, he completed advanced training in pain management at the University of Strasbourg, France. He is a general surgeon, anesthesiologist, and pain management specialist.

Dr. Choukroun is the inventor of the PRF® (Platelet Rich Fibrin) technique, developed in collaboration with Dr. Schleicher, which has become widely used in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He also pioneered various PRF techniques, including L-PRF, A-PRF, and i-PRF. In 2003, he established SYFAC, the International Symposium on Growth Factors, and has served as its president ever since.

He has authored and co-authored numerous scientific publications in prestigious journals, focusing on cellular stimulation through growth factors and tissue healing. Dr. Choukroun is an internationally recognized speaker, delivering lectures worldwide, and conducts specialized training courses on PRF techniques.

Currently, Dr. Choukroun owns and operates a private clinic for pain management in Nice, France, where he applies his extensive expertise and innovative approaches in medicine.
